PROGRAM: “London Town Shore Party: The First American Marines”

LOCATION: Historic Londontown and Gardens, Edgewater, MD             

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The USMCHC has been ask to support a specialized interpretive program revolving around Historic Londontown, Maryland in the years prior to the American Revolution. The program will focus on 1740 to 1770 Londontown. The Historical Company will provide interpreters representing the military part of the program as members of Gooch’s British Regiment of Marines raised in 1740 (some of which were recruited in London Town).
