LOCATION: National Museum of Civil War Medicine, Frederick, MD

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The USMCHC supporting the Ntl. Museum of Civil War Medicine will present a series of exhibits in the second floor conference room of the Museum which will cover the Naval Services involvement in the Assault on Fort Fisher, NC in January 1865. The various exhibits will include Navy and Marine Corps exhibits looking at the material history and technology being used in 1865 and an exhibit of modern Marine Corps technology now being introduced. The overall objective will be to show how developments and actions in 1865 have had an impact on today’s Navy and Marine Corps and the advancements in technology we have made over the past 155 years. Note: This is a modern cloths exhibit program with limited space. Participating staff will be limited to no more then 6 interpreters at any give time.
