PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Marine Corps Historical Company, working as a partner with the National Park Service, will again present a program commemorating the Anniversary of the infamous John Brown Raid. After drastically scaled back programs we will return to a full-scale program in 2023. Planned activities over the two days include exhibits, talks, and demonstrations revolving around the Marine involvement in the John Brown Raid.  The program will not only look at the role of the Marines but also the various points of view of the local citizens, the Virginia and Maryland militias, and Brown and his raiders. NOTE: This will be a manpower sensitive program requiring Marines and members to fill US Marine, militia, raider, and civilian living-history rolls.
