LOCATION: Eisenhower Farm National Historical Site, Gettysburg, PA  

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The USMCHC is partnering with the Eisenhower National Park staff to present a program that looks at Eisenhower’s trip to Korea in 1951, his visit to the First Marine Division. This year the program will be presented around the anniversary of the Korean War Armistice.  This will be a hybrid program primarily utilizing contemporary exhibits that will look at the Marines and Navy (including Naval/Marine Aviation) during the Korean War. This will be augmented by a limited living-history element. Next year this program will tentatively move to December and be a dominantly living-history based program looking at the Marines  at Chosin over Christmas 1950. NOTE: This will be a hybrid program utilizing both contemporary and living-history interpreters.
