PROGRAM: “The Marines in the 1814 Battle of Bladensburg and Defense of Washington”  L/H and Exhibit, NEW PROGRAM

LOCATION: Bladensburg, MD  or  Fort Washington National Park

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Marine Corps Historical Company, working with Maryland State Parks and Recreation, will assist with a program commemorating the Battle of Bladensburg and the Defense of Washington in August 1814. The USMCHC has been ask to present living history based talks and possible exhibit focusing on the U.S. Marines at the Battle and in the 1814 Chesapeake Campaign.
