“The Story of Seagoing Marines in WW2” & Battleship North Carolina Veterans Reunion
April 19 - April 21
The Marine Corps Historical Company, working with the Battleship Memorial’s Education Department, will once again present ongoing exhibits, demonstrations, and talks focusing on “Seagoing Marines” aboard Capital Ships during WW2 to visiting school groups and the general public. On Friday and Saturday the Marines will be part of a living history style program aboard the Battleship. On Saturday morning as part of the memorial ceremonies the Marines will provide a modern color guard and firing party for the Ship’s Veterans Reunion. This will be a manpower sensitive program requiring at least 10-12 Active-Duty Marines filling both a living-history role and in modern Dress Blues for the ceremonies
