Veterans Appreciation Day

A day of activities including historic demonstrations, lectures, exhibits and a wide range of other activities being presented for visiting veterans and wounded warriors from all conflicts and their families. The Marine Corps Historical Company, as a NPS partner, will once again participate in a living history based program celebration commemorating “Defenders Day” and the Battle of Baltimore in 1814. The USMCHC will present ongoing and scheduled living history based demonstrations and lectures focusing on the U.S. Marines in the War of 1812.

The Marine Corps Historical Company, as a partner with the AWM, will provide a series of demonstrations focusing on the tactics and weapons (including flame throwers) of the mid 20th century, along with an extensive exhibit.
